Telosmia Parfumerie
About Telosmia

Telosmia is the small batch perfume house of scholar-perfumer John Falter. These scents came from the intensity and glamor of South Carolina, believing this state to be a capital of elegance alongside Paris and New York. Each scent works with the climate and history of this land. Airy and musky profiles match the heat; Southern and Caribbean notes root them in heritage. Filter these principles through the art and obsession of modern molecular perfumery, and you have Telosmia.

Available at A. Smith Clothiers.

Scholar-Perfumer teaching a perfumery class

The Perfumer

John Falter is a scholar-perfumer with a specialization in sensory rhetoric. When he's not perfuming, he teaches writing at Clemson and is finishing a dissertation on the meaning of perfume in colonial Charleston. Ask him about it if you see him walking around town.
